From Our Farm. For Our People.

Our Farm,
Our Story

Yazh & Sterling Creamery is a farm-born dairy built around a simple belief: milk should be one of the purest foods we consume.

Our Farm

Built on the fundamentals

We are building our farm by going back to the fundamentals of responsible farming — healthy animals, naturally grown feed, clean water, thoughtful animal care, hygienic milking, minimal intervention and complete traceability from our farm to your home.

Our journey begins with pure, farm-fresh milk and traditionally crafted dairy products, with a larger vision of creating a sustainable farm ecosystem where food is grown with respect for the land, animals and the people who consume it.

We don't want to simply produce milk. We want to build a farm families can trust.

Our Story

Going back to our roots

There was a time when milk didn't need an introduction.

We knew where it came from. We knew the farmer who raised the cows. We knew how they were cared for and what they were fed. Milk travelled only a short distance before reaching our homes.

Somewhere along the way, that connection was lost. As our cities grew and food supply chains became longer and more industrialised, we became increasingly disconnected from the source of one of the most fundamental foods in our lives.

Milk should perhaps be the simplest and purest food on our table. Yet today, families are often left wondering: Where did my milk come from? What was the animal fed? How was the milk handled? How long ago was it milked? And most importantly — can I trust what I am giving my family?

Those questions stayed with us. And eventually, they became the reason to build our own farm.

So, we decided to go back.

Back to the land.

Back to caring for animals the way they deserve to be cared for.

Back to knowing exactly where our food comes from.

Back to a time when purity wasn't a premium feature — it was simply how food was supposed to be.

We are building a farm where the journey of every bottle begins with the health of our soil, the quality of our fodder, the wellbeing of our cows and the cleanliness of every step that follows.

We want our milk to remain as close as responsibly possible to what nature intended — fresh, wholesome and minimally interfered with. And when nature gives milk a beautiful layer of cream, we don't believe it needs to be hidden. That cream is part of the milk. Part of its character. Part of the experience we want to bring back.

Our dairy products will carry the same philosophy — thoughtfully made from our own milk, using traditional principles supported by modern standards of hygiene, food safety and traceability.

It is about bringing the values of the past into the future.

Traditional farming with modern science.

Old-fashioned care with modern hygiene.

Natural food with complete traceability.

We are starting with milk. But our dream is much larger. We envision a living, sustainable farm where dairy, agriculture, food and people come together — a place where children can see where their food comes from, families can reconnect with farming, and the relationship between the farmer and the dining table becomes personal once again.

We are not trying to become another milk company. We are trying to bring back what milk was always supposed to be.

Pure.

Fresh.

Honest.

And worthy of the families we serve.

Going back to our roots, so the next generation can experience food the way it was meant to be.

From our soil. From our cows. From our farm. For our people.

Our Cows

Indigenous breeds, ancient wisdom

We raise only indigenous Desi breeds — Gir, Sahiwal, and Kangeyam — all native to the Indian subcontinent and all naturally producing A2 beta-casein milk. These are not commercial dairy breeds. They are living heritage.

Gir cow — Gujarat, India

Gir

A2 Milk
Gujarat, India

Known for their distinctive humped back and pendulous ears, Gir cows are among the oldest dairy breeds in the world. Their milk is exceptionally rich in A2 beta-casein protein and natural fat.

Sahiwal cow — Punjab, India & Pakistan

Sahiwal

High Yield
Punjab, India & Pakistan

The Sahiwal is prized for its calm temperament and high milk yield relative to its size. Resilient in tropical climates, it thrives on our Tamil Nadu farm and produces milk with a naturally sweet flavour.

Kangeyam cow — Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu

Kangeyam

Native Breed
Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu

A hardy native breed of Tamil Nadu, the Kangeyam is well-adapted to the Deccan climate. Revered for its endurance and calm nature, it produces milk with a rich, full-bodied flavour rooted in the soil of the South.

The Science

Why A2 milk is different

Not all milk is the same. The difference lies in a single protein — beta-casein — and the variant your cow produces.

A1 vs A2 Beta-Casein

Most commercial dairy cows produce milk containing A1 beta-casein. When digested, A1 releases a peptide called BCM-7, which some research links to digestive discomfort. Indigenous Desi breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, and Kangeyam produce only A2 beta-casein — structurally closer to human breast milk.

Easier to Digest

Many people who experience bloating or discomfort with regular milk find A2 milk significantly easier to digest. This is not lactose intolerance — it is a response to the A1 protein. A2 milk sidesteps this entirely.

Non-Homogenised

We do not homogenise our milk. Homogenisation forces fat globules through high pressure to prevent cream separation — but it also alters the milk's natural structure. Our milk arrives as nature made it: with the cream rising to the top.

Farm Practices

How we raise our herd

01

Open Pasture Grazing

Our cows graze freely on open pastures from dawn to dusk. No confined stalls, no concrete floors. Natural movement and sunlight are essential to their health and the quality of their milk.

02

Natural Fodder Only

We feed our herd a diet of fresh grass, seasonal greens, and traditional fodder crops. No growth hormones, no routine antibiotics, no synthetic feed additives — ever.

03

Vedic Milking Rhythm

We milk only after the calf has fed. This ancient practice — called 'calf-first milking' — ensures the calf receives its full share of colostrum and the cow is milked in a calm, unstressed state.

04

Bilona Ghee Method

Our ghee is made using the traditional Bilona process: curd is hand-churned to extract butter, which is then slow-cooked over a wood fire. The result is a granular, nutty ghee that bears no resemblance to commercial alternatives.

Farm to Doorstep

Every bottle, fully traceable

Dawn Milking

Milk is collected between 4 and 6 AM, after the calves have fed. Each collection is timestamped and attributed to the herd.

Same-Day Processing

Milk is chilled immediately and processed at our on-farm creamery within two hours of collection. No overnight storage, no cold-chain delays.

Bottled & Labelled

Each bottle is labelled with the collection date, breed, and farm batch. You know exactly what you are drinking and where it came from.
